Athens, Greece

Last January, our group from CSPC toured Community House Damaris (CHD) when we visited our missionary partners in Athens, Greece. CHD is a place where survivors of trafficking and exploitation live while learning the emotional and practical skills that would enable them to eventually live on their own and reintegrate into society. CHD has a day program, which is where the females in our group will spend each day. We will spend time getting to know these women. We will also be working on projects together that they can create and sell in the future. Activities that take place at the Day Program are only permitted for women because of the trauma and abuse the women have experienced as well as the recovery process. In addition to the projects that we will bring and work on with the women, we will also spend time hearing their stories as well as share our own testimonies. CHD will have ministry opportunities planned for the males to do elsewhere throughout the team visit while the women are at the Day Program.
